Our Charter Organization:
Dyersville Sportsman's Club & Conservation Society
The Dyersville Sportsman's Club & Conservation Society is a non-profit organization that provides families a location for outdoor activities and many family oriented events throughout the year.
The Sportsman's Club is also affiliated with the Delaware County Chapter of Pheasants Forever.
The Sportsman's Club park has two ponds for fishing catfish, bass, and bluegill. Some of the area near the ponds are thick with pine trees that provide excellent cover for wildlife. A prairie grass area is also maintained to provide nesting for wild game birds and small mammals.
There are several picnic shelters, a heated cabin, camping sites, and several hiking trails. For the shooting sports enthusiast there is an archery range, long range rifle range, and several days each year available for trap shooting.
Annual events that the Dyersville Sportsman's Club hold include a winter ice fisheree, softball tournament, fall fish fry, golf outing and several family events. Every spring there are typically two work days where members get together to work on maintenance and improvement projects.
Hunters Safety programs are offered twice a year by Tim Nefzger (563.875.2282)
Small camping fees are charged on a daily basis to offset the cost of electricity and campsite upgrades.
If you are interested in obtaining a membership click the 'Membership Application' or drop off your name, address, and phone number in an envelope with your payment into the collection box located at the Welcome Center to the park. The treasurer will then mail your membership card to you within a few weeks.
